I personally, would not shun that person. I won't agree with what they're doing but I won't hate them.

I would like to point out that the bible clearly states that there will be false prophets who claim to bear his name but in reality they don't. That ruins the image of those who are true believers.

I try to refrain from calling myself a Christian, as it is not a religion, it is a relationship. I'm a child and disciple of God.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04920425612111009725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4878999152902417778.post-89607204772938662572012-07-27T11:36:27.092-04:002012-07-27T11:36:27.092-04:00Hi Rebecca! Have to disagree with your statement, ...Hi Rebecca! Have to disagree with your statement, "Christians DO NOT hate homosexuals." A most cursory Googling would refute your position. 'Christians' would, I think, do better to worry more about Christ's new commandment than cherry-picking sins over which to vaporlock. I use the term 'Christian' very guardedly when addressing the 'Christian' obsession with the subject, for there is almost nothing of Christ's teachings to be found in the 'Christian' perspective on homosexuality. I believe your statement "Homosexuals are not born homosexual" is also highly questionable. Homosexuality is a highly complex subject; it is merely a subset of human sexuality. As but one example of a vast multitude, I draw your attention to this commentary from back in 2008: http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/human_nature/2008/06/sexual_antagonism.single.html

and suggest to you that you might want to consider researching the matter a bit more deeply. You don't have to agree with homosexuality, or embrace it, but don't you think you should try to achieve a better understanding of it?

Would Christ have a beer or a glass of wine with a gay person? Or would he shun that person, saying ... "Get thee behind me, faggot!"

Just sayin'.CatLoverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02715764013637623114noreply@blogger.com
