“For you formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb…
My frame was not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, and
skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the Earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your
book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none.”
-Psalm 139-13-16
Abortion is one of the largest social topics in society today. Roe vs. Wade, a Supreme Court case, changed the law on abortions deeming them legal. Taxpayer money is put towards this but not everyone is Pro-Choice. Since the case in 1973, over 53 million unborn children have been murdered. That’s approximately 3,700 a day. You may wonder why I am calling it murder. Some say it’s just tissue and tumors being removed. But I disagree. The bible even says that at the moment of conception, it is a child. No different than a newborn baby in his/hers mother’s arms.
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son.”
-Matthew 1:23
“Rebekah conceived and the children struggled together within her.”
-Genesis 25:22
“He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.”
-Luke 1:15
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
-Jeremiah 1:5
This child has no voice. WE need to be their voices! It has not chosen to be murdered before it could see the light of the world that God had planned. Believe it or not, 33% of Christians are pro-choice. 87% of abortions are supported by Catholics and Christians. They are supporting the murder of innocent lives (“Do not kill the innocent…” –Exodus 23:7). God’s creations and possible future disciples of God are being taken from us. Some people say there are certain instances where abortions should be allowed. In God’s eyes, however, there are none. Not even for incest or rape.
“Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall
children be put to death for their father.”
-Deuteronomy 2:16
“The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the
father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son.”
-Ezekiel 18:20
Because of the wrong choice of the man who caused the child to be formed, the child must die. That is not fair to the child or God’s plan. God loves children and says they are one of the greatest blessings. Jesus healed children and praises a childlike attitude (Matthew 18:2-4). He warns against harming them (Mark 13:12) and blesses those who protect them (Matthew 25:41-46).
And those who have murdered these innocent will be judged by the sword (“…and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword.” –Revelation 1:16). This double-edges sword is his words used to judge and condemn those who have not been saved and made alive in Christ.
