Many people who are facing depression, a financial crisis, or other hardships just need to know that God is there for them and that there are people who care about them. If we sit back and watch without doing, they won't be able to see God's love and they won't recognize the call that God has for them. Many Christians just go with the flow and don't really act out God's love to other people or minister. They feel that just by going to church and receiving Christ as their savior is good enough. But it's not. I know I've brought this up in multiple posts but it's an issue that needs to brought up daily so that we don't forget. If the body of Christ spoke up more, there might still be prayer in school or abortion would be outlawed. More people would come to Him! Some "Christians" give off the wrong image as being too good to help others or just not caring enough. Sometimes people don't even know they are born again! They don't bear any fruit and they are not helping God like they are called to do. So get off your feet and let Jesus shine through you! Your body is a vessel for him to use!
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.
Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but
does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in the
mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and
immediately forgets what he looks like."
